CORTLAND, NY — Three early goals from Cortland were not enough to fend off Plattsburgh. The Cardinals kept pecking, capitalizing on two power-play opportunities. A memorable moment came in the second period, when Plattsburgh freshman Tio D’Addario scored and made a group Cortland girls blush by waving at them.

BROCKPORT, NY — After a relatively even first period, the Red Dragons took command in the second with four goals. The middle frame also saw multiple roughing penalties and two game misconducts. Once the temperature cooled, both teams played a drowsy, scoreless third period.

CORTLAND, NY — The game was faster than it was physical, with no huge hits. In the end, Geneseo prevailed with a last-minute goal. The loss was deflating for the Red Dragons and their rowdy student section.
